Visual workflows
Microscope's visual workflow editor is a typed graph in the viewer. It can use browser-captured WSI regions and existing viewer layers as inputs, then pair with the local Python companion to run installed processing nodes. Results can be installed as ordinary viewer layers.
Workflows are optional. Slide viewing and annotation do not require Python. The companion executes on the user's computer with the user's permissions; installing and trusting a node pack is a separate action. See the Python workflow guide and companion boundary for current setup and limits.
